Content We Liked: 10th August, 2025

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Tabletop digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

Exorcist Kill-Team by porcelainsky

Kicking off this week’s edition of CWL with a double act of lesser featured Space Marine chapters, starting with these haunted Exorcists by porcelainsky on Bluesky. The inclusion of Nighthaunt Spirit Host pieces swirling around the members of these haunted Astartes is an inspired bit of theming, but we’ve gotta shout out the wonderful contrast of the vibrant red armour of the Marines against the cold greens and teals of their environment and gear. Its an excellent piece of colour theory work that makes these figures pop so lushly.

Mentors Infiltrators Squad by Tammi

For the second half of our Minor Marine showcase, we’ve got an Infiltrator Squad from the Mentor chapter by Tammi on Bluesky. There’s a lot these clean cut weapons specialist share with their Exorcist cousins above that make us love them, like the use of red patches to contrast the woodland green and clean white of their chapter colours and the subtle weapons conversions to empathise their experimental nature. But its the fine application of chipping and wear/tear effects that really make these Marines shine, hitting just the right amount to make them look like they’ve been deep in the field for a while without overwhelming the overall model. Superb.

Cephalomite Stalker by Oculus Obscura

Shifting into a weirder, more Blachian direction for this next piece, a 3d printed technoabomination from Oculus Obscura on Bluesky, drifting around the Underhive in a psionic haze. This thing is just wonderfully creepy with its empty black eyes and the seamless transition between biological and mechanical matter. Truly something to haunt the dreams of any Hive Scum.

Joe Fixit by mr-poolman

Hey, did you know that The Hulk has multiple dissociative personalities? And one of those identities is a Vegas mob enforcer? Well here he is, painted up by mr-poolman on Bluesky. This piece is a testiment to patient painting, not only with the finger-crampingly straight pinstripes down the suit, but with the heavy comic book style shading across the figure with bright colours suddenly fading into harsh dark tones. Simply incredible.
