Content We Liked: 10th March, 2024

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Tabletop digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

Lets start this week off weird, very weird. Sometimes you see stuff other hobbyists create and just have to stare at it, because it’s so out there and yet so compelling you just can’t help to. Like this bio-mechanical duo converted by Pax Acrylica and painted by totally_not_panicking. Holy damn I don’t know what exactly I’m witnessing, but I love them.

We don’t need to tell you that Shin Godzilla owns. In fact just mentioning it will probably make a bunch of you go and watch it again. Take a second before you do to appreciate this scale diorama of Godzilla doing his thing, just absolutely going to town on downtown. While the whole thing’s super gorgeously details, we gotta love the use of fibre-optic cables to simulate the radioactive sparks jumping from the explosions in the wake of ‘zilla’s radioactive breath. So cool.

It’s time for our quarterly check in with Mordheim and we’ve got a great lil’ Carnival of Chaos performer to share this time. I mean… he’s doing the whole Michigan J Frog bit. What more can we say really?

Simon Denny: Dungeon

A very esoteric one for the last entry in this week’s article, an exhibition by artist Simon Denny celebrating the concept of the Fantasy Dungeon in literature, video games and tabletop games. While this sounds pretty neat in itself, we’ve gotta call attention to the full size replicas of the classic Heroquest terrain and furniture created for this exhibition. If you’re in the New York area this sounds like an excellent lil’ venture out.
