The Week Ending April 4th, 2020
Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed. Here’s what we liked this week:
In the Wild:
- The Warhammer Community Adepticon Preview, Part 2
Warhammer Community
With Adepticon cancelled, the GW studio preview was completely online this year, showing off all kinds of new models and exciting releases. Yesterday they did part 2 of their preview, with some more cool new stuff. - Jonathan Chocron’s Amazing Nurgle Helverin
@jonathan_chocron via Instagram
This Armiger Helverin conversion is just wonderful, and the Nurgling pilot totally makes it. - The Yncarne by Cegorach_Rose
@cegorach_rose via Instagram
The Yncarne is one of the coolest models in the 40k range, and I love seeing great paint jobs on it like this one. - Andrey Demidov’s Eldar Phantom Titan
Andrey Demidov via Facebook
You don’t see Eldar Titans all that often in the wild, and Andrey’s is particularly impressive, going above and beyond to freehand cool details on the wraithbone. - Rictus’ Nurgle Pool Scenery
@rictus40k via Twitter
I’m a sucker for cool terrain and this is cool terrain. The detail on the pond is astounding. - Ricki Smith’s Wolfgrots
@RLRSmith88 via Twitter
I don’t pretend to understand this hobby project but I know that 1. Grots own and that 2. This conversion is great. - Pierre Alexis’ Berserker Conversion
@pierrea8061220 via Twitter
The lack of plastic Berserkers in the 40k range is a travesty, but there are a lot of fun conversions you can do to make very passable replacements. Pierre’s conversion of a Dark Vengeance Chosen is particularly great. - 1990s Ultramarines Tactical Squad Rhenus
Ninjabread
I, like SRM (the person who found this), am a sucker for 90s ‘Eavy Metal-style paint jobs. These look fantastic, and the only thing missing is the Goblin Green base. I’m willing to let it slide though, since they painted the base rims black, the only acceptable color for base rims.
