The Week Ending May 9th, 2020
Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed. Here’s what we liked this week:
In the Wild
- Adam’s Sick Plague Hulk
@soylentrobot via Instagram
The plague hulk is definitely an under-appreciated model and we love what Adam’s done with it, from the custom pose to the gross-in-a-good-way paint job. - Tndine’s Amazing Mentor Legion Incursor
@tndine via Twitter
It takes months to paint each one of these minis, and it shows. Very sharp detail work on a chapter you don’t see very often in the wild. - Ben Bailey’s Incredible Chaplain Dreadnought Conversion
@TheOneBenBailey via Facebook
This wonderful conversion of a chaplain from an Invictor warsuit actually uses very little greenstuff, instead being a kitbash from multiple other kits. Just fantastic work.
- TheChirurgeon on 40ktoday
The 40ktoday podcast
Rob “TheChirurgeon” Jones went on 40ktoday this week to talk about competitive play, the FAQ, and Goonhammer’s recent article with Richard Siegler on the topic. - Photo Exposure Basics Video
TheCrafsMan SteadyCraftin via YouTube
A helpful video on getting better photos of your minis by switching your settings. - Holy shit look at this leather coat are you serious
@ivan_tashun via Twitter
I don’t have the heart to tell Felime this exists so soon after the work he put into “How to Paint Everything: Leather.” - Jes Bickham’s Master of Possession
@jes_bickham via Twitter
Not bad for a “palette cleanser.” We guess. - Quarantine and the Tournament Scene
Alex MacDougall on The Art of War 40k
We miss being able to play at events, and Alex’s screed hits us right in the parts of us that can still feel things in this hellworld. - Jenny Strath’s Harlequin
@JennyStrath via Twitter
Jenny’s done some amazing detail work on her Harlequin, painting the sheet music for Wagner’s “Flight of the Valkyries” on its jumpsuit. - Shut Up Greg, All You Ever Do is Complain!
@ArtofNP via Twitter
Fuckin’ Greg, man - Poison Dart Squigs
Warplockshoehorn via r/ageofsigmar
I love the color choice here and it looks great on these monster squigs.
