The Week Ending May 16th, 2020
Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed. Here’s what we liked this week:
One Really Big Thing:
Holy crap! Yesterday Games Workshop announced a new edition of Warhammer 40,000 along with loads of information about their strategy for the next year, which looks to include a massive new Necron release (new Warriors! The Silent King! New Spider Lychguard-looking things!) and of course, new primaris marines (now with chainswords!). You can read all about it on Warhammer-Community and read about our plans for covering 9th edition here.
In the Wild
- PART ONE: PUMP

Yeah OK that 9th trailer was cool but this is the best 3D animated video featuring marines to release this week and I will not brook any arguments to the contrary. - I Just Want to Love Constructed Magic Again
By Bryan Gottlieb, StarCityGames
A few of our crew are Magic: The Gathering players going way back and while I don’t agree with all of Bryan’s points, this is a well-constructed article and I like the process behind it and what he’s proposing. - Kogan, Minotaur Warrior

Outstanding paint job and wonderful freehand work on the shirt. This mini knows how to ROCK.
- FOR SHOVELRY!

What a lovely conversion. Man, that guy’s popping up everywhere. Also, they posted a tutorial. - Arucatus the Swordbearer

Don’t tell anyone this but if you want ADB to notice you, all you gotta do is convert and paint a mini of a character from one of his books. That guy loves that shit. I mean, we do too, especially if you’re gonna do as good a job as this. - Industrial Waste Facility Terrain Tutorial
Dark Matter Workshop via YouTube
This is a great tutorial and the result looks fantastic. Building terrain is the most fun part of the hobby, I swear. - Pepe the Brave

We promise it’s not the stupid frog that CHUDs like. Instead, it’s a lovely piece of art showing a Crimson Fists Lieutenant. - Brian Jensen’s Deredeo Dreadnought

Love the color on this Salamanders dreadnought, and the flames and lava base are a great touch.
