The Week Ending August 18, 2019

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed. Here’s what we liked this week:

In the Wild:

  • Darren Latham Miniature Painting
    YouTube
Former ‘Eavy Metal painter Darren Latham’s got a new YouTube channel where he does some excellent painting tutorials and how-to videos.
  • Gabriel Angelos
    Marc B.
Marc painted up a really great Gabriel Angelos, Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens.
  • Thoughts on the Great Order Cull of 2019
    Plasticcraic
On their blog, Plasticcraic talks about Games Workshop removing a large number of Alliance: Order miniatures from their online store, why it was done, and what it means for Age of Sigmar moving forward. Also has some great thoughts on empathy and messaging around these kinds of actions.
  • The Chambers Militant Diorama
    @DeanLecoq
Dean Lecoq has an awesome diorama showcasing the three militant branches of the Inquisition (Malleus, Hereticus, Xenos).
  • Coda’s Painting Stream
    Twitch
Coda streams at weird hours owing to being in Australia, but it’s worth your time to stop in on his stream when you can.
  • Remote-Controlled Land Raider
    Liber Daemonica
I’m a sucker for conversions like this.
  • Raptors Marine
    The Mighty Brush
The Raptors are a cool chapter and this is a damn fine example of one.

On Goonhammer:

Another big week for Goonhammer content, starting with our How to Paint Everything series on Ynnari and ending with our guide to Astra Militarum tactics.
