The Week Ending September 7th, 2019

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed. Here’s what we liked this week:

In the Wild:

  • Coconut Crab Tyranids Tutorial
    Catgut Painting
    A tutorial on how to do a sweet painting scheme for Tyranids that gives them shells like Coconut Crabs. Looks great and seems surprisingly easy.
  • Another Sick Knight Conversion from Rhu
    @_rhubard on Twitter
    If you haven’t been following his work on Warhammer Community (or can’t wait for another update), Rhu’s Twitter updates frequently with just incredibly sick shit. This time he’s working on conversions to do updated designs of some of the crazier Epic knights.
  • LGT Unit Breakdown for Astra Militarum
    Rhys Edwards
    Rhys did a breakdown of Astra Militarum units being used at the LGT for the Competitive 40k Facebook group. Combines nicely with our analysis on the event’s list (see below).
  • Using Textured Wallpaper for Terrain
    The_Forge_Temple on Instagram
    Using textured Wallpaper for doing terrain/tables isn’t something I’d considered before, but I will now. Seems like an easy way to cover an entire table quickly.
  • Coda’s Painting Stream
    Twitch
    Coda streams at weird hours owing to being in Australia, but it’s worth your time to stop in on his stream when you can.

On Goonhammer:

Another big week for Goonhammer content, with tons of coverage and content from NOVA.
