Content We Liked: September 5, 2021

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at large

  • Jonny Lashley’s Inquisimunda Conversions
    @JonnyLashley via Twitter
The Crimson Court keep proving themselves the Vampiric dreamboats of every painter in the hobby and take a spectacularly gothic turn here converted into bloodsplattered Inquisitorial Weirdos for Inquisitor’s heroic scale ruleset.
  • Julia Moshura’s Venetian Knight

Words can’t quite express the feeling of looking at this absolutely stunning piece of freehand mastery. Just click the link and… behold.
  • Wh40k Terrain Rules
    Daniel Brewster via Youtube
A comprehensive visual guide to 9th edition’s terrain rules with all its quirks and edge-cases told in the most effective way possible: MSpaint scribbles.
  • Chris Stover and Erk’s Leviathan Conversion
    chemical_sunsetz via Instagram
The Leviathan is one of those 40k concepts that’s glorious in its sheer goofiness and this collaborative effort celebrates it in the best way. Between the backlit stained-glass windows, the multiple Baneblades smashed together to form the chassis and the phallically positioned cannon on the Imperial Eagle we can’t quite pick which is our favourite part.
  • Robert King’s 15,000pt T’au Army
    rking via Instagram
Good gosh that’s a lot of crisply painted Anime. Shout out in particular to the very very Gundam Farsight conversion.
  • Damned Legionnaire of Isstvan III
    u/Alegroth via Reddit
The Legion of the Damned drawing on the unquiet dead of other Marine Chapters/Legions is an extremely cool idea, and in particular this vengeful loyalist Emperor’s Children legionnaire does the idea some serious justice with some very slick conversion and paint work.

This week our resident Gamers both got a hankering for games you play until you realise it’s night out and you haven’t moved from your seat in almost 12 hours, with Jon Bernhardt looking at the hotly anticipated Humankind and Thanquol Decadion comparing Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program and Satisfactory.
