A month has gone by since Adepticon, and next month will usher in the highly anticipated balance patch. The past two years have led to this moment at Worlds, where we finally get to see what units came out on top. While there were some expected results, not everything about Adepticon was easily predictable, as our five Jedi Masters have learned. Did you do your own predictions? If so, score alongside us and see if you can take the title of Grand Master! But first, let’s take a moment to congratulate Scott B on his win and becoming the first Shatterpoint World Champion!
Now, how about those results?
For this format, I’ll post the topic, followed by the result, and then provide the number used or the percentage.  Our first couple of results were easy, but who kept with the easy picks?
Most Taken Primary – The Mandalorian at 39
The Mandalorian is highly versatile and has outstanding synergy with specific lists like Armorer. That being said, he can also slide into an Empire or Rebel list without much issue thanks to a tag-agnostic identity. It’s not a massive surprise that he was the most taken primary, which is also why he was only worth 2 points. Â

Most Played Primary – Commander Iden Versio at 97
Get used to seeing Iden everywhere because she was a powerhouse at this event. Now she isn’t winning games alone, even with her high mobility and devastating attacks. We all recognize that Giddeon Hask, her secondary, is a huge reason for her success. Empire also just has outstanding access to some of the best supports in the game. Iden being the most played just makes sense. Plus 1 point!

Least Taken Primary – Talzin / Ahsoka / Padme at 1
Three characters were only taken once in the lists for both heats. Mother Talzin is particularly interesting since she was so dominant in the first Adepticon. She has a place against aggro, but even Talzin can’t handle the powerful identity of Iden. Ahsoka also has a strong revenge trigger, but is a far more niche character to learn. Queen Padme Amidala is, regrettably, not a very strong model, and you would be taking a risk bringing her to as competitive an event as Worlds. Shout-out to Kyle, who picked one of the few models that weren’t taken at all in Luke Skywalker!

Least Played Primary – Mother Talzin played in 1 game.
One of the least taken primaries would also be one of the least played. Kevin Caldwell was the only soul brave enough to take Talzin, and they only played the Dathomirian Witch once. We have some close answers with some of our other Jedi Masters, though! Asajj may have only been played 3 times, but she won twice, giving her a credible win rate. It’s not as good as our next reveal, however…

Highest Win Rate Primary – Count Dooku with 71%
There are no points gained from this one, but we can tip our hat to Kyle for getting the closest on his General Veers pick. This result is both surprising and yet should be expected. Count Dooku destroyed the playing field last year and remains a solid model with fantastic defensive stats. His greatest strength, however, is his force efficiency since he brings 4 to your team and refreshes more when you suffer wounds. Â
Sam – CT-9904 38%
Cody – Luminara 31%
Matt – Ahsoka 0%
Kyle – Veers 50%
Tom – Logray 28%
Lowest Win Rate Primary – Ahsoka, Talzin at 0%
There were only two primary models in the entire event that lost 100% of their games. Kyle crushes the competition with his Mother Talzin pick and earns another 4 points. He was right on the money; she was played once in the first round of Swiss, lost, and was never seen again. Ahsoka had a different experience where the one player to bring her took her 3 times and failed to capture a win. Take a look at those predictions… everyone over 50% except the one person who picked right! Â

Most Brought Mission – Sabotage Showdown
With there being only three missions for this event, it’s a bit of a random draw on which one would be taken most or least. Odds were dominant at LVO, and clearly, the aspiring masters thought the same thing would happen. Instead, Sabotage Showdown squeaked out in a fairly even field. I know I took Sabotage to help fight against Iden, who I feel has the hardest time on that particular mission.

Least Brought Mission – Never Tell Me the Odds
Odds not being the most taken is one thing… but to be the least? That is interesting. Now, once you hit day 2, this number changes, and Odds suddenly makes a stronger appearance, but we are considering all events and not just snapshots. Congrats to Tom, who got on the board!

Pairings – Iden/Vader2 vs Kanan/Han on Odds
Predicting the final game isn’t as complicated as it seems when the meta has clearly stated Commander Iden is a powerful piece to bring. The trick was who would accurately predict the paired Empire primary to go with her. Darth Vader, Emperor’s Servant, made a powerful showing in the Top 32 thanks to success in the Iden/Moff mirror. Kanan was a reasonable pick to see opposite Iden, as he is a playmaker model with a fantastic revenge trigger. General Han Solo, though? No one could have predicted that, and we love it.

Finally, we arrive at our bonus questions! These are strange and slightly subjective, but let’s just roll with it and see what people said. Starting with Samuel, he thought none of the primaries in the finals of last year’s Adepticon would make day 2. Not only did Dooku reach day 2, but he was in the winning list of Iden + Vader2 with Dooku + Armorer. No Points!
Moving on to Cody, his hot take was that Iden wouldn’t be the most taken primary to reach day 2. Commander Iden Versio was in 14 lists out of the 32 players to reach day 2. The next highest taken primary was The Mandalorian with 13. Close but not good enough! No Points!
Matt stated that a separatist primary would not be put on the table Saturday or Sunday, which was almost true! But almost doesn’t cut it since Scott did indeed play his Count Dooku list and against Matt himself. Do you think he did that on purpose? NO POINTS!
Our current leader, Kyle thought that Ki Adi Mundi would appear in a top 4 premier list. Not only was that true, but Ki Adi was PLAYED in a top 4 match.  The semi-final match of Cody vs Scott happened to be Ki Adi Mundi with Luminara vs Commander Iden with Vader, Emperor’s Servant. I think Kyle just solidified his lead with an extra… 3 POINTS!
Finally, we have Tom, who claimed that Darth Vader, Jedi Hunter, and The Grand Inquisitor would dominate the meta. While Vader1 was indeed present throughout the event, and even played to some success, he wasn’t a dominating presence. The Grand Inquisitor was even less noticeable as he was only taken in 2 lists. I’m going to assume no points here.
Our final score….

Sam – 1
Cody – 6
Matt – 8
Kyle – 14
Tom – 3
Congrats to our first Grand Master of Predictions, Kyle Russell! How did you do? Surely you didn’t do better than Kyle; he was on fire with those predictions! Looking through our community answers, our winner came in at only HALF of what Kyle got with 7 pts.
Congrats to Wak Drannor!Â
Thank you everyone for joining in on our ridiculous predictions and arbitrary point getting. I hope you had fun!
Now…
Where is my balance patch?
