This weekend saw the second UK Goonhammer Open for the year, hosting our biggest and best Horus Heresy narrative campaign alongside a Kill Team World Championships of Warhammer Qualifier!

Before we get to the results, this event would not be possible if it were not for the assistance and support of many different people.

- Our terrain partners and people who worked on and provided terrain to set the scene for the weekend’s battles. These include:
- Bandua Wargaming, our primary terrain partner for Kill Team, Boarding Actions and Zone Mortalis terrain.
- Dawn Prints, whose 3d printing manufactorum made the terrain for the Grylor Battlezone
- Pumpcron, who prepared up some classic oldhammer terrain for one of our battlezones.
- Mike, who both printed a large amount of terrain, but also hosted our terrain days for the team.
- Those who lent boarding actions terrain for the weekend – including Will, CJ, Tom, Max, Jon and Zach.
- Alex and all the staff at Lvl1 and the De Montfort Student Union for making the event as smooth as possible.
- Thank you to our spare players, Josh and Max, who ensured that everyone’s dice kept rolling.
- Everyone who helped pack up, with special mention to Jim and Rob who went above and beyond to help me get home before midnight.
- Most importantly all of our volunteers and staff who helped setup and pack up – an under-appreciated but absolutely vital component of any event.

Horus Heresy
Over the past few years our Heresy events have got bigger and better, with an evolving narrative which both peaked at the Second Sphere Defense campaign. Eighty singles attendees, with some travelling as far from Ireland, Germany and Malaysia, convened for a weekend of unparalleled vibes taking up a whole floor of our venue.
Expect to see a follow up post or two with highlights, however for now please join me in celebrating our top players.

Kill Team
Kill Team returned to the Goonhammer Open, for a World Championships of Warhammer qualifier in a luminary space, enjoying the pleasant weather we had on the weekend. Our third UK Kill Team championship belt holder was found, congratulations to Ryan Slater.
