Goonhammer, 40kstats, and the ITC Battles App

You may have noticed that over the last few months here at Goonhammer we’ve been really invested in tracking stats and tournament results. We’ve been working hard at ramping up our efforts on that front, adding additional Competitive Innovations articles to our weekly content to support Age of Sigmar and Kill Team. We’re big fans of tracking the meta and devouring all the stats we can get.

That’s why today we’re extremely happy to announce that Goonhammer has acquired two amazing properties: the ITC Battles App and

The ITC Battles App

Anyone who has ever read our Meta Analysis articles for 40k knows that we’re massive fans of the ITC Battles App, the premier tool for tracking 40k games – both competitive and casual – and collecting game data. The app is the brainchild of Josh DeBoer, who will be continuing to work on the app as we relaunch a new, sleeker, updated version later this year with even better functionality and more features. Look for that soon.

40kstats.comrun by Peter “Falcon” Colosimo was a massive inspiration to us and a source of incredible data when we started writing Competitive Innovations. Over the last year we’ve worked with Falcon on a number of occasions to write meta analysis and pore over stats. While the site hasn’t updated in a while, we’ve been hard at working automating a ton of the process and building an all-new 40kstats site here on the Goonhammer server that has stats not just from events but from the ITC Battles App. Expect that to launch next week with an all-new interface, sortable stats tables, lists that earned a TiWP in recent events, and updated top 4s, though we may launch a Patron-exclusive sneak peek this week.

In the meantime, here’s a quick look at the new site launching next week:

What’s Next?

So what’s next, and what does this mean for you? Well, we have a ton of exciting new stuff planned around these beyond our relaunch of 40kstats next week and the new version of the ITC Battles App. We’ll be looking for ways to integrate these with Administratum down the road and we’ve got more planned than just 40k stats tracking. We’ll have more updates as we get closer to those, so sit tight!
